Scholarships
Education is a value that ARJ promotes in all aspects of our company. We believe that knowledge is empowering, and the ability to make informed choices allows lives to be improved. Education motivates us to improve the world in which we live. Below are tips to submitting a successful scholarship application and links to lists of available scholarships.
Tips for successful scholarship application:
- Start early. Prepare a list of scholarships by deadline dates. Download or request applications for each scholarship. Don’t wait until the last minute to complete the application. Deadlines are final.
- Proofread your application, particularly the essay response. Pay close attention to grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Enlist the help of an advisor or teacher to review your application before submitting.
- Respect other people’s time. Give your doctor time to complete the Verification of Medical Condition. This consideration also applies to anyone who is writing a letter of recommendation.
- Follow the directions in the essay prompts. Pay close attention to both content and word count when writing your essay.
Be yourself. There is no “right” answer. - Take responsibility for your application. Keep a copy of your application for your records, and make sure ALL pieces of your application (including any documents listed on the completion checklist) are included before you mail or fax it on to the organization.
