This year marked ARJ’s 20th anniversary of delivering quality, compassionate infusion care to people with rare and chronic conditions. We were excited to celebrate this important milestone alongside another exciting moment this year: Lisa Sackuvich was recognized by National Home Infusion Association (NHIA) for earning the Gene Graves Lifetime Achievement Award.
As Owner and President of ARJ, Lisa has been at the forefront of advancing home infusion care, increasing access to treatment, and improving the lives of people with chronic illnesses. Through her leadership, innovation, and integrity, Lisa has distinguished ARJ as an industry leader in home infusion and specialty pharmacy across the United States.
The New Normal
The Covid-19 pandemic has required everyone to reimagine daily routines—and ARJ is no different. Over the past few months, we’ve rapidly accelerated our digital business operations to find new ways to meet the needs of patients and partners.
At the onset of the pandemic, ARJ's dedicated staff worked together to assemble a Coronavirus Resource Toolkit for patients and collaborated with MidAmerica Nazarene University’s School of Nursing to acquire PPE donations for our frontline nurses.
As part of our mission to educate patients, legislators, medical professionals, and the community, our clinical and business professionals also stayed busy at virtual conferences, learning symposiums, and other online events, including Hemophilia Federation of America 2020 Virtual Symposium, 2020 KPhA Annual Meeting and Trade Show, Immunoglobulin National Society 2020 Virtual Conference, and 2020 American College of Gastroenterology Virtual Conference.
Leading the Way
Your ARJ care team is dedicated to advocating locally and nationally to ensure you have access to the care you require—and the support you deserve. Through education and outreach, ARJ gives you a voice!
ARJ partners with organizations across the nation to create awareness and make a positive impact. Through our work with advocacy groups, we secure financial assistance, lifestyle resources, education, transportation, and translation services for patients, families, and caregivers. In 2020, ARJ secured over $7 million in life-changing resources for patients.
The Patient Engagement team hosted a virtual Back to School Fair to provide books, supplies, and laptops for patients, located unique scholarship opportunities, found over 120 community resources for food and gifts for people struggling during the holiday season, and stepped into action to support MGA Triple Crown Showdown 5k, Gateway Hemophilia Association's 30th Annual Tee Off for Hemophilia Golf Tournament, Midwest Hemophilia Association’s 22nd Annual Golf Tournament and Virtual Family Education Weekend, Myasthenia Gravis Association–Kansas City Annual Fishing Derby, Bleeding Disorders Alliance of North Dakota (BDAND) Virtual Family Retreat.
In November the team also helped patients and families enroll in the Health Insurance Marketplace—and empowered people who rely on infusion care to make informed decisions about their healthcare coverage in the new year.
