Hemophilia and other bleeding disorders are complex conditions that require specialized care to manage. That’s why Hemophilia Treatment Centers (HTCs) play such an important role in improving the lives of people with these rare conditions.
Through a nationwide network of diagnostic and treatment centers, HTCs work closely with ARJ clinicians to provide comprehensive care and education to children, adults, and families.
Teamwork Approach
Hemophilia Treatment Centers are made up of hematologists, nurses, social workers, physical therapists, dentists, and orthopedic specialists with advanced knowledge of bleeding disorders.
At ARJ, our specialty-trained nurses, pharmacists, and Patient Services specialists work with HTCs to ensure patients receive compassionate, personalized, and localized care.
Comprehensive Care
The goal of HTCs is to deliver a range of care options in one facility with an emphasis on prevention to reduce future complications. They consider all aspects of care including emotional, physical, educational, financial, and vocational needs.
Just like HTCs, ARJ’s philosophy is to treat the whole person—not just the disorder. We work together to go the extra mile to ensure a better quality of life for patients and families.
Staying Connected
Accessing reliable information from trustworthy sources is crucial when learning about rare conditions such as hemophilia.
HTCs conduct valuable clinical research to continually advance treatment options and outcomes for people with bleeding disorders. At ARJ, we partner with nonprofit organizations to fund research initiatives and raise awareness in the community.
