For most patients and families, a chronic disease diagnosis feels overwhelming at first. Every day brings new questions and challenges. What treatment is needed? How will it be administered? Will insurance pay for it?
The answers are complex under the best circumstances. But when English isn’t the patient’s first language, understanding the available options is even harder.
Family members may be able to help translate, but some medical explanations are difficult to convey. And communicating feelings and private concerns is nearly impossible through a translator.
That’s why ARJ is proud to employ a diverse workforce with bilingual healthcare professionals. Our pharmacists, nurses, and care coordinators help patients become comfortable with the medical, emotional, and economic implications of their diagnosis—in their own language.
Our staff currently includes professionals who are fluent in Spanish, Vietnamese, Czech, Serbian, Croatian, and Bosnian, because healthcare is too important to get lost in translation.
