Every April 17 is World Hemophilia Day, an international day of awareness for hemophilia and other bleeding disorders. Since 1989, World Hemophilia Day celebrates and recognizes the advancement of treatment and care options for people with bleeding disorders.
With the COVID-19 pandemic having a major impact on people with bleeding disorders, it’s never been more important to raise awareness and show support to the people around us.
Our diverse community of patients, families, caregivers, physicians, and researchers are affected by the pandemic in different ways. And while the world has changed greatly in just one year, one thing remains the same: We are all in this together.
Participate in the World Hemophilia Day Light it Up Red! Campaign on social media. Last year, thousands of people worldwide showed their support using hashtags #WHD2021 #WorldHemophiliaDay #LightItUpRed.
